Today, I finally sat down and made a time plan for all the way until the end of the Winter break. I realized I might now have as much to do as I first suspected (and feared).
My first thought was that I'd want to build the stage when school isn't there to bother me. And when is that? During holidays!
Naturally, the main upcoming holiday is Winter and Christmas holiday, so my plan revolves around me building most things during that time.
Roughly, the plan looks something like this:
November:
Estimate cost of material (I suspect this might go sky-high... Foamcore, Plasticard, Miniatures, LED-lights and everything else. Sigh.)
Demand monetary support for buying material (I'm able to get a few hundred SEK to help pay for the costs).
Pick stage to base my stage on (Either Lunds Stadsteater (City Theatre of Lund) as that's where I study, or Medborgarhuset i Eslöv (Citizen's House in Eslöv) as I live in Eslöv and has been on that stage a lot... Plus, it's smaller so easier to replicate).
December:
Buy materials (I am not looking forward to this...)
Take measurements of the stage. Sketch a blueprint in the scale I want it. Start marking the materials for where I'm going to cut it, and begin cutting it if there's time to do so.
Christmas Holiday:
Start building, and build at least all the main parts (Floor, walls, roof). I can save details such as the stage's curtain and lights etc. for later.
After that I'll make a time plan for the spring of 2013 based on how well I managed to follow this plan. Wish me luck.
